Griffith Observatory
Transmedia Rebrand
Griffith Observatory is both a beautiful spot to watch the sun set over Los Angeles and an inspiring window into the night sky.
This rebrand aims to draw people into the museum too in order to expose them to this planet's wonders and to educate them on how the climate is changing and what Earth might look like in the future.
The new logo timelessly captures wonder and welcoming. The tiny blip of the Observatory dome at the bottom right communicates how small we are in an amazing universe.
The rebrand includes an exhibit on Earth’s satellites. The exhibit highlights the unsung heroes that circle around Earth, relaying information about our atmosphere and climate.
The logo is a used as a frame either filled with black or filled with an image.
